How to change the time format of the Time field?

123FormBuilder change time display for field

You can opt to use the Time field between the 12-hour or 24-hour time format. If you want to change the time format of the Time field, select the field in the Form Editor and go to the Edit Field panel on the left. Afterwards, use the Time Format dropdown and select your desired time display. If you choose the 12 hour time format, the form visitors may choose between the periods AM and PM by using the dropdown that appears next to the input.

If the 12 hour clock time format is selected and you want to add a default value, you’ll need to add the period as well (e.g. 12:45 PM). If the 24 hour time format is used, only values between 00:00 and 23:59 are accepted.

The default value NOW can be used for both the 12-hour or 24-hour clock time format of the Time field. This will automatically fill in the current time the online form is opened and filled out by the form visitor.

Notes:

  • The 24-hour clock time format is visible only in the editor and the publish version of the online form.
  • All submissions are saved with the 12-hour clock format in the Submissions table and email notifications.
  • In the Payments section, the 24-hour format is converted to the 12-hour clock format when used in calculations.

  1. This is basically a feature request. I find the time field awkward to use. It would be great if when you went to enter a time, you could select from a range of times. Make it more like the date field which pops up a calendar.

For example, have it show the current time when you click on it and then allow you to change it if necessary.
